Nutrition

Most veterinary textbooks will tell you that dogs need almost no carbohydrates, but almost all dry pet foods, a major component of most pet diets, are high in carbohydrates, low in animal protein and fats, and contain almost no water.

According to an article by respected veterinarian, John B. Symes, entitled Gluten Intolerance and Your Pet, the digestive systems of dogs cannot digest plant proteins like gluten. Dogs are built to digest animal protein, and feeding canines foods that contain gluten can result in many of the same problems that afflict their human counterparts who are sensitive to gluten.

That’s why every Bistro Bites treat contains no grains, or fillers. Bistro Bites are gluten-free. And always will be.

Size does matter, especially when it comes to indulging your special friend and Bistro Bites are the only treats uniquely made for small dogs. Coming in two sizes, our treats grow as your pup grows. Up until 10 pounds, the small size is great for puppies as well as full-grown teacup and miniature breeds. Our medium treats are especially right as your pup grows.
